Lace Wedding Dresses
Thanks to its delicate beauty and its indication of luxury, lace has been a popular material for wedding dresses for many centuries. Brought to prominence by Queen Victoria and her intricate hand-made lace wedding gown in the mid 19th century, lace has since been a key feature in wedding dresses for many royal, aristocratic and socialite weddings ever since. Most recently we saw resurgence for lace in wedding dresses thanks to Kate Middleton and her stunning Alexander McQueen wedding dress at her wedding to Prince William in 2011. Nowadays, lace is no longer a luxury reserved for the upper classes. Nor is it only synonymous with more traditional style wedding dresses. Lace wedding dresses can be budget friendly, in more modern shapes and styles and can suit every type of bride.
