Looking to hire a photo booth to add to the fun of your wedding? We've got all kinds, with lots of fun props to liven things up. Photo booths are in hot demand at the moment and we’ve seen some incredible types from inside cars to a traditional London phone box! What better way to capture you and your guests having a great time and generally speaking they’re relatively inexpensive so definitely worth considering. Some photographers also own photo booths or work with photo booth suppliers so always worth getting their recommendations too. They don’t take up too much space either and will add great memories to your already very special photo albums!
Here are our top tips of things to consider when booking your photo booth:
1) How far in advance will the photo booth company drop off the photo booth and how long after the wedding will they come to pick it up. Make sure you communicate timings with your venue so your wedding coordinator knows what to expect. Even involve them so you don’t have to be there on delivery / set up.
2) Will there be a photo booth attendant? Maybe even more than 1? Worth checking if there is an extra cost associated with hiring attendants and do they have any special requirements.
3) Be careful to not get stung on price when getting quotes. Sometimes there is an extra cost associated with the actual printing, the hiring of attendants and extra props (if they are offered).
4) Think about the timing of the photo booth. Do you want it for the reception right after the ceremony? Or will the best photos come out after a few drinks and during the dancing? It’s fairly typical to hire a photo booth for 2-3 hours so don’t expect to have it there for the whole day.
The average spend of our couples on photo booth hire is £400. We’ve had reports from some couples getting 4 hour packages for just over £300 but have had to pay extra for props and prints. Don’t be surprised if you have to pay a premium to get a green screen photo booth or one that makes GIFs. The advantages of a green screen booth mean your guests can choose their own backdrop meaning they have a huge amount of variety. GIF photo booths on the other hand mean you can replace the standard GIFs going around on your whatsapp feeds with your very own personalized GIFs
You also might have to pay a bit extra if you want to print from a hashtag. This is a really nice touch for couples who want to connect their photo booth with their own wedding hashtag.
