Why your wedding dress shouldn't just be for one day

How much you should be spending on a wedding dress will always be something that will trouble a bride in the wedding planning process and when assessing the budget. You're torn between one little voice in your head saying 'but you'll only wear it once!" and another exclaiming "but it's a once in a lifetime oppotunity, you want to feel your all-time very best!" Benjamin from L'Amour Weddings thinks he's found the solution and we're all ears, over to you Ben...

"It's one of the happiest day of your life, from a little girl you have dreamt of the day you will get married - the man, the ceremony, cake and all.

Which brings us to 'THE' dress, the gown that encapsulates the joy of the moment, the focal point that makes you shine, and your beauty all the more radiant.  The time spent thinking, wishing and choosing one of the most joyous, and likely expensive, garments you will ever own is priceless, so the question should be asked... Why not enjoy enjoy that dress one more time and capture that feeling again and forever?

At L'amour Wedding photography I aim to do just that.  The wedding dress is such a beautiful fashion piece and one that adds so much beauty to a bride that I believe you should be the sole focus once more.

Your wedding can understandably feel like a blur, the race of emotions and events make time disappear in the blink of an eye. Your album or wedding photos document the atmosphere of your day - the look in the groom's eye as he sees you, the romance and love of being the new Mr & Mrs - but I like to take those memories further.  You and your new partner deserve that extra special touch that is a time capsule to you both.

Imagine a collection of images in which you can wear your dress once again but without the "Big Day" stress... a page-turning story of detail, the epitome of beauty and a dream that would have been years in the making.  It is the chance to allow me to take you back on a journey, with the fond and warm anticipation of your wedding morning.

You begin the day with hair and makeup, your dress once more hanging up, then travel to a location of your choosing, but this time, no throng of wedding guests, no worries of "have the favours been laid out on the tables? Is the cake setup?"  This time around all you have to do is concentrate on you. My team and I will capture a selection of images, working with you, demonstrating poses, wardrobe adjustments and more, giving you a personal bridal photoshoot you deserve.  No stress, no worries, just a beautiful day that's all about you and that special dress.

So why should your wedding dress be for one day?  In summary it's simple, it shouldn't be, you deserve more than just a day and your wedding dress does too."
