This exclusive use venue strikes the right balance between the grandeur of an impressive stately home with a wonderfully intimate atmosphere and is fully licensed for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies. You can seat up to a whopping 500 guests in their Banqueting Hall, in amongst the lovely manicured lawns and verdant trees.
Nestled within 350 acres of formal gardens, orchards and countryside, Hengrave Hall is a beautiful Grade I listed Tudor mansion that can be exclusively yours for the weekend, including the on site private church just moments away from the main house. Their team has ample experience, including their in-house award winning caterers who have over 60 years of service under their belts.
Approached by a gorgeous, long sweeping driveway, Glemham Hall is surrounded by an impressive 3000 acres and can be exclusively yours. Licensed for civil ceremonies, it can host ceremonies for up to 95 both indoors and out, and even has its own church on the estate. Their luxurious marquee can seat 50-150 guests for dinner and dancing and can increase to 200 guests for the event. Conveniently placed, it is just two and a half hours’ drive from London.
Located close to the coast, this 5* country estate is a much loved privately owned home by Robert and Teresa Rous, a longstanding Suffolk family. The building itself is set within 700 acres of beautiful informal grounds and can host up to 140 guests within the barn or 28 seating in the hall’s elegant dining room. They also have on-site accommodation for up to 28 guests too.

Close to the Suffolk coast, Butley Priory is a 13th century former gatehouse to an Augustine monastery founded in 1171. Described by Vogue as ‘one of the most romantic houses in England’, it is a truly beautiful backdrop for your wedding day. The building’s Great Hall with its high vaulted ceiling is able to host up to 100 guests, or alternatively there is room for a marquee and unlimited numbers in the lovely secluded garden and grounds. A fun feature is that hidden in the panelling of the drawing room, there is a small ancient door that leads into the Pilgrim’s Bar, their specialist gin bar. The priory itself can sleep up to 13 guests, along with accommodation in Butley Abbey Farmhouse which can sleep 24, and also has a swimming pool. The priory is privately owned and has been in the same family for 4 generations, making it a well loved home and place to get married.

Surrounded by 40 acres of parkland including 5 acres of beautiful walled gardens, Holkwold Hall has a variety of different spaces in which to host your wedding, depending on your guest numbers. Their large dining room within the house can be used for more intimate receptions of 30 - 40 guests, and the Banquet Hall is a good barn venue that can host up to 60. Alternatively their Garden Marquee (otherwise known as The Grand Marquee) can hold between 80 - 250 guests, and features wooden floors, a full service bar and a dance area with a small stage, special lighting effects and high quality audio. The venue can sleep up to 26 and has a nice bridal preparation studio too.
A family owned and run business with over 30 years of experience, the 18th century Tudor style mansion that is Holmewood Hall is a picturesque location to host your wedding. Set within 10 acres of lovely grounds, with character and style at every turn, you have the option of hosting your ceremony in the beautiful gold room with its stunning ceiling and 50 ft aisle. It is also exclusive use, so it’ll be yours for the whole time you’re there.
A boutique style private experience, Ash Tree Barn is a warm, family run venue that is perfect for both indoor and outdoor weddings. The barn itself is contemporary and Spanish hacienda in style and is set within 4 acres of land, hosting up to 200 of your guests and licensed for civil ceremonies. The venue can sleep up to 20 guests and there is also a beauty salon on site too.
Striking the right balance between historical elegance and contemporary style, Pentney Abbey can be exclusively yours for the weekend. You have the option to host your wedding in either their medieval gatehouse or amongst the tranquil rose garden, with a reception to follow in the light filled barn, set with original features, exposed beams and stone walls. The East Chamber is home to an elegant bar from which drinks will be served to your guests as they mingle on the lawn, beneath the archway or upstairs in the gatehouse.
A restored 17th century building, The Reading Room sits within beautiful landscaped gardens with the Church of St Ethelbert as a pretty backdrop to your wedding day. It is exclusive hire, is licensed for up to 80 of your guests, and is a friendly family-run wedding venue. You can also host outdoor ceremonies here under the sweet licensed pergola or on the lawn.
A wonderful coastal retreat surrounded by farmland, soft marshes, dunes and wide open beaches, Titchwell manor is a picturesque choice for a wedding venue. With the option for both indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies, their light filled conservatory can host up to 80 guests, whilst the walled garden can host up to 150 guests. Alternatively, the church in Titchwell village, which is just a 5 minute walk away, can seat more than 150 guests too. For the reception, the conservatory can host up to 90 guests, but if you want up to 150 you can opt to have a marquee within their walled garden. They have award-winning 3AA Rosette chefs and you can even design your own cocktail with their in-house mixologist too.
