Holmewood Hall

Thank you so much to Tracey for making our wedding day magical. The wait staff were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond for so many people. The venue is beautiful, the food was wonderful and we really couldn’t have asked for a better day!

We got married here on Valentine’s day and what a beautiful venue. I can’t thank all the staff enough for everything they have done. They really made sure I had everything I needed and also my guest and all the staff were very polite. The food was amazing and all rooms are just stunning. All my guest commented on how beautiful the whole place was. Thank you everyone at Holmewood Hall.

We recently held our wedding at Holmewood Hall and Tracey Fowler, our Wedding Planner, was an absolute star before, during and after the wedding itself and is an absolute credit to Holmewood Hall. Nothing was too much trouble for Tracey and her Team and the way they looked after us and our guests was impeccable. Michaela, the Head Waiter at our wedding breakfast, was so kind and attentive to my husband and I throughout. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and to be honest, we have lost count of all the compliments we received from our guests during the day and after. We would like to thank you all for helping make our wedding day a truly wonderful event

We both had the most amazing day! Who would thought a wedding could flow so perfectly with such a short amount of time to plan! Wouldn’t be possible without all the amazing staff who helped us along the way! Wish I could do it all over again!

I forwarded the following complaint to Holmewood Hall following a stay there for my cousins wedding. Having spoken to other people staying there, it became apparent that we were far from the only people with these views. Having just received a response from them, they had little to no interest in anything I'd said. I was basically told that a lot of what i said was incorrect. For the cost of the room I expected way better than what we received, including the service. Having now read a lot of the reviews from past guests, it is clear that they are not a venue to be contemplated using for your perfect day. I would not recommend them whatsoever.

. No tea or coffee making facilities.

• No TV.

• No Wardrobe.

• No phone to contact reception or anyone.

• Terrible wifi.

• Bath towel was barely bigger than a hand towel.

• Cold room (not once the whole time did the room get warm despite radiators being on as high as we could get them).

• Despite arriving early (after a 4hr drive) we had to wait around to check in, then everyone had to be checked in at the same time with only 1.5 hours to get ready for the wedding.

• Noticeably everyone was then showering at the same time as water temperature constantly fluctuating up and down.

• Only the very bottom of the towel rail was warm meaning our towels didn't dry, so the following morning we had to use wet towels.

• Bathroom tap leaked.

• The door didn't lock sufficiently meaning you could just push the door open from outside when in the locked position.

• No room within the venue felt a comfortable temperature, the actual wedding room was too hot, all other rooms never felt upto a decent temperature.

• Came down for breakfast at 09:05 and cereals hadnt been replenished and cooked food looked and tasted dried out.

• My partner was just invited to the evening event and not the wedding. Needless to say with no tv, no tea or coffee and pointless wifi she ended up having to leave the venue through sheer boredom.

• Couldn't relax once as we constantly felt rushed for time.

We didn't complain about any of the issues at the time as we were so rushed for time from start to finish and staying for less than 24hrs we didnt want the hassle of being moved or having to deal with sorting them out.

All in all, we were shocked by how bad the whole experience was and it certainly wasn't just ourselves that felt like this having spoken to other guests at the wedding.
