How to Create a Quick, Low Braided Bun

If you’re a bride on a budget or you’re planning on eloping somewhere fabulous for your big day, trying to figure out what to do about having your hair and makeup done can be a bit of a tricky one….but guess what? You don’t always need a professional hair stylist and/or makeup artist to look great, you CAN do it yourself!

True, if you have your heart set on a very complex style or a classic, structured up-do, you might struggle to go it alone; but if you’re leaning more towards some beautiful, beachy waves, over-the-shoulder Hollywood curls or a relaxed tousled up do then you can learn how to do this in no time at all.

To get you started, here’s how to do your very own quick, low, braided bun…

Brush hair through to get rid of any tangles

Secure into a smooth, low ponytail

Separate into three sections

Braid each section and secure into three individual plaits

Begin by wrapping one of these braids around the base of the ponytail – secure with pins using the ‘up and over’ technique (something you will learn on my courses!)

Repeat with the next braid, wrapping in the opposite direction. Secure.

Wind the final braid around and pin in.

Finish by gripping in any loose ends and spray with a spritz of a high shine product!
