Wedding beauty timeline: do's and don'ts

Your wedding is the most important occasion of your life. Everything needs to be perfectly planned and on time. The slightest negligence can ruin your entire day. There is absolutely no room for unplanned things and not taking even the tiniest things seriously. The first thing to the spotlight on is enhancing your overall beauty. Your skin, hair, nails, and everything else need to be perfectly done. But this is not only for the wedding day. It needs proper planning. For example, for colored haircare, use purple shampoo for cooler tones and vitamin C serum for skin care. There will be some things that you need to stop, start, or find the perfect time to do. So, if your wedding day is approaching, here is a list of dos and don’ts for beauty care.

Do not wait until the last minute to get your teeth treated.

It is ideal to begin experimenting with teeth whitening two or three months in advance. The optimal period to acquire the effects you'll notice is around three months or sooner because you'll probably be in a thousand or more photos. Before the wedding, you might choose to have your teeth professionally whitened regularly, or you can use any over-the-counter solutions. If you're on a tight budget, whitening strips, sticks, and toothpaste might take a little longer, but they're still worth a try.

Preplan the look you want

Start experimenting with various artists, as well as hair and cosmetic trends. Once you've decided, book them right away so that there are no scheduling conflicts or last-minute alterations. Your nails are subject to this as well! The majority of upscale nail salons provide bridal packages. Start the process earlier to give yourself more time for growth if you're drastically changing the shape of your eyebrows. However, reshaping and tinting can begin six weeks beforehand.

Do not put a gap in a skincare routine

Start exfoliating your body at least twice or three times a week if you haven't already. Try a mild body scrub that removes dead skin cells without drying out your skin. It is advised to avoid physical exfoliators if you have sensitive skin and instead choose a chemical exfoliant like salicylic acid or glycolic acid. You may also want to stay away from any products with additional fragrance if you are prone to eczema.

Stop using certain products

It might irritate your skin if you use it the week before your wedding. Unless your esthetician instructs you otherwise, stop regularly using retinol, vitamin C, and any chemical exfoliants at this time. Perform a little at-home peel a few days beforehand to enhance brightness. If you intend to visit the dermatologist, make sure to schedule your appointment at least two weeks beforehand because a professional chemical peel is too severe to be performed just a few days before your wedding. To make sure you are hydrated, drink lots of water the day before. The best thing you can do right now is to rest and get enough sleep.
