Supplier Spotlight: Damselfly Flower Girl Dresses
Good old Wedding Wednesday is here again, and that means it's time to meet another of our amazing World of Wedmin suppliers! Yippee! This week we have the lovely Naomi from Damselfly Flower Girl Dresses on the 'sofa' to tell us all about her unique and terribly special creations for your little cuties.
Introduce yourself, and your business.
My name's Naomi and my business is Damselfly Flower Girls
Why did you start your business? And how long has it been going?
We started Damselfly because we felt there was a need for flower girl dresses that are special. Dresses that actually compliment the bride's gown. Bride's spend such a long time choosing the perfect wedding dress and making all the elements of their day fit together perfectly; quite often the flower girls are something that is compromised on with people often choosing something mass produced from a high street store.
What is your greatest achievement to date?
Being featured by Brides Magazine's website as their idea of the day.
What makes you stand out from other dress designers?
Our dresses are handmade in the UK and we only use natural fibres (mostly silk). Our dresses become something to treasure forever.
How do your friends describe you?
Passionate, hardworking ....to the point of obsessive!
In your opinion, what makes a truly stand-out wedding?
All the beautiful little details combining together to make one big beautiful wedding! Most importantly, seeing the happiness on the bride and grooms faces.
From your industry experience, what’s your top tip for couples?
Remember that it's your day, you can't please everyone. Try to make your day how you dream it will be - not what other people tell you it should be like or what they want.
What can we expect to see from you in the future?
I'm working on some more 1950s and 1920s inspired styles at the moment.
What is it you enjoy most about your job?
Helping brides to make their day perfect and making little girls feel like princesses!
