Alicia & James | Ellenborough Park Wedding

This has to be one of the most elegant weddings we've seen at WeddingPlanner.co.uk, and we've seen a fair few! Alicia and James chose the stunning Ellenborough Park in Cheltenham as the backdrop for their wedding day, due to it's timeless elegance and perfect positioning on the edge of the Cotswolds.

How many venues did you look at?

3 including Ellenborough Park

What made Ellenborough stand out from the rest?

Its timeless elegance - we just fell in love with it the moment we arrived!

What was on the menu?

Starters: Ham Hock and Baby Leek Terrrine or South Coast Crab Cake

Mains: Roast Fillet of Beef or Breast of Corn Fed Chicken served with fondant potato, savoy cabbage and glazed vegetables.

Dessert: Glazed Lemon Tart or White Chocolate Cheesecake

What was the decision behind your menu choices?

The menu was one of the hardest decisions as we LOVED everything at the tasting, but we tried to please the majority of our guests and we feel we achieved that thanks to Ellenborough allowing our guests to have a choice.

What flowers did you choose?

A mixture of white and nude peonies, hydrangeas and roses put together by the amazing Donna Beaver at The Flower Studio.

What was your first dance?

L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole (ft. lots of confetti!)

How was your experience with Ellenborough from the beginning?

Faultless - there is honestly nothing bad to say and I wouldn't have done anything differently. There was never a list of questions too long or a query too problematic.

If you could give brides and grooms one piece of advice what would it be?

Let the team do what they are there to do - don't let the little things stress you out! The day comes and goes so quickly so take a moment to step back and take in the beautiful surroundings.
