The Abbey offers the distinct benefit of offering a complete wedding day in one location with a truly flexible space in which to stage your ceremony, reception drinks, wedding breakfast and evening event, and with enough space to avoid the need for turning round rooms with guests in occupation. Every wedding we hold is unique, entirely bespoke for you (on average we only hold around 17 weddings a year) so don’t hold back when discussing your ideas with us! With an elegant, sacred feeling space for ceremonies and drinks served on the top terrace overlooking one of the most famous battlefields in England surrounded by over 1000 years of history, Battle Abbey really has the wow factor you’re looking for.
We can seat up to 120 guests in the fantastic wood panelled Duke’s Library for your wedding breakfast, 150 for ceremonies and accommodate up to 250 for barbeque or garden party events and evening entertainment. We don’t have many restrictions but due to the size of the venue we recommend a minimum of 65 guests for the day.
