Tanille & Jason's Rustic DIY Beachside Wedding

By choosing to say their vows on the very beach they first met at the tender age of seventeen, there was no doubt that Tanille and Jason's wedding was going to be brimming with nostaglia and sentimentality. On the shoreline of Torquay Beach in Victoria, Australia they gathered all their friends and family for an intimate wedding ceremony. After the pretty rose petal confetti toss, the celebrations were then taken onto the lovely Whitesbeach Guesthouse nearby.

The bride wore a gorgeous lace dress from Fifi & Edga Bridal in Geelong, a bridal shop owned by one of her good friends. Luckily for Tanille, her perfect dress was the very first wedding dress she saw and tried on and a few moments later the purchase was made - if only it could be that easy for everyone eh?!

In terms of style, the couple opted for a wedding day that was rustic and bohemian as they felt it complimented the natural surroundings really well. Choosing white roses and gypsophilia as their wedding day flowers, they created a floral arch for the backdrop to their wedding vows and placed vases of the flowers along their reception tables. Tanille's bridal bouquet consisted of purely white roses bound with hessian and lace to create a classic but rustic look. Tanille also took on the role of 'DIY bride', incorporating a number of DIY elements into her wedding decor from doing the flowers to decorating the full table settings herself - we especially love the personalised wine bottles they had made featuring their names and the date of the wedding. Luckily for the guests, each bottle also doubled up as a place setting card so they were definitely set for the night!

Finally, we asked Tanille if she had any advice for future brides and she told us it would be "try (key word, try!) not to stress out as I promise you that everything works out in the end and all the little pieces will come together just perfectly".
