Morgan & Francesco's Whimsical Wedding

We're delighted to feature Morgan and Francesco's dreamy wedding. Using a palette of gold and blush combined with plenty of flowers, they managed to create a stunning day at their exclusive venue Campbell Point House.

Having initially met online, Francesco surprised Morgan with a helicopter ride to an island where he'd set up a beautiful, draped arbour with champagne, chocolates and lights. They originally were looking for an Italian style villa in Australia to match their wedding style before they came across the private boutique hotel which had all the elegant design features they were looking for.

Can you describe what type of ceremony you had?

We had a very intimate ceremony with a celebrant to officiate. We were surrounded by a towering hedge and we filled the space with overflowing blooms - it was very romantic! I surprised my husband by learning my vows in Italian.

Tell us about your wedding gown and how you chose it?

I had previously seen an image of a dress I loved on the internet. A year later an advertisement came up for a trunk show and low and behold, my image was one of their dresses. I booked in for the show at the Versace and saw my dream dress immediately. I didn't want to try the dress on straight away and be the only dress I tried. I decided to put the dress on second and did not try any more. I loved the lace detail and the traditional feel of the veil.

What flowers did you use in the bouquet and at the venue?

We used an abundance of full-bodied blooms including posies, roses, hydrangeas, anthuriums and phalaenopsis orchids.

Any tips that you can give to future brides and where are you going on honeymoon?

Surround yourself by a great team and follow your intuition. Don't stress the little things, try and enjoy every moment! We're currently planning our honeymoon which will include Germany, France and Morocco.
