Halo Strings - Supplier Spotlight
We’re incredibly fortunate to be able to collaborate with some fantastic and very talented suppliers in the wedding industry. Halo Strings are the perfect example and with my own background as a violist, they provide a service that’s very close to my heart.
1. Introduce yourself, and your ensemble, and tell us a little known fact about you!
I’m Lydia and I’m the director and cellist of Halo Strings, and I am a fitness fanatic!
Halo Strings is a female string ensemble based in London.
2. Where did you meet and how long have you been playing together?
Aleksandra and I met 3 years ago in London, performing for different events. Last year we decided to start our own string ensemble and since there we are growing our team.
3. What Makes you stand out from other string groups?
I arrange all the music for the group. Our repertoire includes all the greatest classical pieces, jazz, pop music, and bespoke Jewish and Bollywood music.
We have exclusive arrangements and our repertoire is continually updated with the latest hits. We can play with classical instruments or electric instruments.
4. If you could provide entertainment for any celebrity wedding, past or present, who’s would it be and why?
Audrey Hepburn. She is an icon and we’re completely in love with her humanitarian work during the final years of her life.
5. From your industry experience, what’s your top tip for couples and what piece / song is your favourite to play at a wedding?
So many couples wonder how to choose the music for their wedding. My advice: set the mood, and make it personal. You shouldn’t just copy a wedding playlist available on Spotify.
Flower Duet by L. Delibes is one of my favourite classical pieces and we also love playing Perfect by Ed Sheeran.
6. What can we expect to see from you in the future?
We have many exciting projects and new music coming soon with different artist.
We are very proud of our first release on Spotify that happened on the 14th September, the new album ( “Title Unknown”) of composer and producer Ryan Martin.
Our goal is to expand the ensemble and be more international. You can check our latest news on our website halostringsuk.co.uk and follow us on Instagram @halostringsuk.
