2015: Wedding Planner Highlights

The year's coming to an end, and do excuse us, but we think it's time for a little self-indulgent post!

2015 has been a MAJOR year for us at Wedding Planner, and we'd like to take this opportunity to reflect, and thank those who've helped us get this far. So, without further ado, here are our 2015 highlights:

1. Crowdfunding with Seedrs

We kicked off the year with an industry first major crowdfunding round. It was a gruelling 6 weeks, but we learnt that the public LOVE our concept, and we raised over £100K from over 100 investors. Here's when we were JUST about to tip over the edge...

2. Website Updates

Thanks to all that funding, we were able to make some pretty snazzy changes to the website. Here's a throwback to what we used to look like...

3. New tech team

And all these changes were thanks to awesome new tech team, Liberty Tech, headed up by our new CTO, the wonderful Michael!

4. New NAME

All this exciting change put us in the best possible position to make the biggest change to date. We dropped the name World of Wedmin, and became WeddingPlanner.co.uk! Hurrah!

5. New team member

We welcomed the lovely Lara to the Wedding Planner team! If you're a supplier, you'll know Lara very well by now! If you're a bride/groom, look forward to hearing from Lara on the blog later in the year, because she's getting married too!

Here we all are...

6. Records = smashed!

November saw the biggest month in World of Wedmin/Wedding Planner history. Major thanks to all our suppliers and our tech team who helped us get there!

7. Amazing new sign ups

We've had an unprecedented influx of new suppliers signing up to Wedding Planner, making it an ever changing, exciting market place, slap bang on the pulse of what's hot in weddings right now. If you'd like to get in on the action, sign up here.

Here's just a few of our fave new pals...

8. The blog reached new levels of awesome-ness

Here were our top blog posts of the year...

2015, it's been great... here's to an even better 2016! Happy New Year everybody!
