Gorse Hill is a beautiful Edwardian mansion set amongst 17 acres of picturesque Surrey countryside. Able to host your ceremony and reception, we take care of every detail of your perfect day. You and your guests can extend the stay and enjoy a luxurious, comfortable night following the celebrations!
Originally built between 1910 and 1912, Gorse Hill is rich in history and remains a hidden gem in Hook Heath, Surrey. The original owner was an investor of the RMS Titanic, who lost a large amount of his fortune when she sank on her maiden voyage in 1912! During the 2nd world war, the devastation of a 500lb bomb falling into the grounds led to the evacuation of Gorse Hill. Shortly after in 1947, the house became a training college for the British transport commission, leading to the expansion of the property.
Gorse Hill today is a beautifully refurbished mansion, with a unique, bright white exterior and original Edwardian features. We can host civil ceremonies for up to 90 guests, but also cater for those looking for a much more intimate wedding, across a choice of 3 licensed rooms. You can enjoy Champagne and canapes on the terrace whilst taking your photos in 17 acres of stunning grounds.
