Sopley Mill still has the stunning original features of the watermill with its oak beams, incredible views over the Avon water meadows and flanked on both sides by the river Avon. The wild location is stunning and completely private without a house in view – and just minutes from Bournemouth.
We will provide the stunning views, beautiful historic building and the privacy that is hard to find in other locations. You can choose the caterer you want from our extensive list, the photographers whose style you like, the florist you know, the wedding planner you trust and the decorations you have longed for - Sopley Mill is a historic but newly refurbished blank canvas meaning that your wedding will be truly unique. We are also a no corkage venue so you can enjoy a glass of champagne on your special day without it costing you the earth!
We have 2 rooms that are licensed for weddings, as well as a bridal suite and huge outdoor terrace. And in the winter months we have two log fires, plenty of candles and twinkly lights making the Mill warm, cosy and very romantic. Although the Mill fits 100 for a sit down wedding breakfast it can fit 140 for a more informal style wedding or if you want more evening guests.
