We just had our wedding at the Royal Scots Club and it was absolutely perfect, exactly what we wanted. We worked with Ayesha Longley, the events coordinator, who was so helpful and extremely organised, which given that we were planning the wedding from England, made things much easier to organise. She also recommended some fantastic vendors all of whom were fantastic and whom I would highly recommend.
The Royal Scots Club was brilliant at every stage - the planning process was so easy, and Ayesha guided us through everything we needed to do and decide. On the day, the food was fantastic (and one of the waiters even found me a little tray of hors d'oeurves when we came back from taking our photos). The two duty managers were very helpful and made the day run incredibly smoothly.
I think the Royal Scots Club is a fantastic venue and I would absolutely recommend it, both for the venue itself (beautiful and with fantastic food) and for the staff (particularly Ayesha). Considering the amazing wedding we go, the price was very reasonable and I think is very good value for money. We would highly recommend the Royal Scots Club!

The Royal Scots Club was the ideal setting for our wedding. Set right in the heart of Edinburgh, it is comparatively unbothered either by traffic or crowds. The standards of service, catering, and planning are excellent. The wedding co-ordinator, Ayesha, is unfailingly courteous, professional, and well-informed. The food, both for the main wedding breakfast and for the evening buffet we ordered, was delicious. We were served quickly and unobtrusively, and the staff did a wonderful job of arranging everything. The price was very good for the size of wedding we wanted, especially when compared to some of the very pricey options out there. In all, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Club to anybody. Those guests who stayed at the Club say that it was a wonderful place to stay.

We had our wedding ceremony, wedding breakfast and reception all at The Royal Scots Club and it was first class. On the day the general manager was very helpful, and the events organiser was great in the months leading up to the actual day. The Hepburn Suite is a beautiful place for a wedding and being able to use the library for drinks and greeting guests is ideal. The food provided at the wedding breakfast was excellent, and I was very pleased with the waiters and waitresses too. Our room was great too. Overall, the venue suited us perfectly, we didn't really have any complaints at all!

All I can say is wow. The venue itself is extremely central, but not in the hustle bustle. The building is stunning with the old Georgian look. The rooms have recently been decorated which gave it a new feel and I couldn't fault the cleanliness. Everything you could need was in the room. The food was amazing, both at breakfast (good selection) and for catering my wedding - every plate was presented the same and the food was hot. As for the staff, each and every one of them were friendly and professional. No request was too big over the weekend and they helped with every little thing. I cannot thank them enough (especially Ayesha) for what they did for us in the run up to the wedding and on the day itself. I would whole heartedly recommend them to any looking for a city centre venue.

Spent 2 wonderful nights at the Royal Scots Club for our wedding. We chose the hotel as our wedding venue and it was perfect. The staff balanced professionalism and friendliness seamlessly and made our wedding day glide along without a hitch. We had our wedding and wedding breakfast in ‘The Douglas Room’, ‘The Library’ was the ideal setting for bubbly and canapés and ‘The Princess Royal Suite’ was spot in for our evening celebration. Bedroom was spacious and comfy and the food was lovely…. Id highly recommend this hotel!

We had our wedding and reception at the Royal Scots Club in October and couldn't recommend it more highly. The events organiser Ayesha is the friendliest, nicest, most organised person you will ever meet.
We had a fantastic wedding, and all of our guests had a great time thanks to the fantastic venue and the lovely staff.
We also stayed in the hotel and stayed in one of the stunning four-poster bedrooms, which was great for the morning photos and big enough all of my bridesmaids getting ready.

We recently got married at the Royal Scots Club and many of our guests stayed at the hotel (including us of course). From beginning to end we had a fantastic experience. The hotel is one of Edinburgh's best kept secrets (but we think more people should know about it!). The central location is one of its first selling points. Just 5 minutes from George St and with beautiful views of Queen Street Gardens, the hotel is extremely convenient. From the outside, the building is charming and when you enter it is somewhat of a tardis! It has so many different aspects and you discover more and more each time you visit. There are many charming aspects of the hotel from the comfortable lounge and stunning library to the elegant dinning room and other function rooms. We got married in the Douglas Suite which is has an understated elegance with stunning views of the gardens. The staff are very friendly and the food and accommodation is some of the best we've experienced (and we are v fussy!). The food is great quality and they take pride in sourcing local produce (at the wedding it didn't feel mass produced which is so often the case at weddings). We saw several rooms and they all seemed to be of exceptional quality (and all very individual unlike some hotels where they all feel very uniform). We were in one of the two four poster rooms and felt very special indeed - you get a sense of history from the bedrooms (although they are not at all stuffy). What was most surprising was the excellent value. We feel that for what we got (a unique high quality experience) the cost was very reasonable. We'd certainly recommend the Royal Scots Club - for dining, accommodation and of course for weddings or other occasions. The events team are also very efficient and genuine (one of the things that drew us to choosing this as a wedding venue was just how 'real' the staff were - friendly, efficient, but also v genuine). Seriously - we just really can't recommend the RSC more!!!

We held our wedding breakfast and reception @RoyalScotsClub in April and couldn't have asked for better service. Ayesha and all the staff have been nothing but friendly and helpful from our very first visit and gave us and our guests a wonderful day. It's a beautiful venue with so many great photo opportunities and comfy reception space. The food was absolutely delicious and has been complimented by lots of our guests. The day ran like clockwork and we can't thank them enough! Andrew and Rachael
