Recently refurbished The White Horse is a little piece of rustic splendour smack bang in the middle of the Square Mile, we are a country pub for city folks and since our doors opened we’ve been serving up slices of stylish homely goodness to discerning drinkers and diners who demand a little more from their watering hole.

FANCY HIRING OUT THE WHOLE PUB?

The White Horse is closed at the weekends, unless of course you’d like us to open the whole place just for you? On Saturday and Sunday you can have the run of our damned fine pub with up to 70 people seated or 180 standing for a grand birthday, wedding receptions, a corporate party, product launch or any occasion that tickles your fancy.

We do fantastic and affordable wedding packages for laid back and formal occasions alike. Including carefully crafted menus which our chefs positively delight in customising, (just ask).

My husband and I held our wedding reception at The White Horse, and visited a number of times in preparation. The terrace is a serene spot to sit and enjoy the fresh air and people spill out into the square in the sunshine. The vibe here changes depending on when you go. There is a superb range of food on offer – think rustic pub food with a twist. If you are planning a private event, the chef is flexible and willing to adapt set meals or add new courses to suit your taste. [During the event] the whole place looked so beautiful and characterful, from the table spread, to the bunting, to the way the space had been organised. The team was so chilled and friendly, the meals were delivered smoothly and the atmosphere felt energised but relaxed.

We had our wedding reception hosted at The White Horse, on a private function for 70 people and we had an amazing experience since the day the placed the first enquiry until the very last minute of the party! The pub is closed on weekends, and opens only for private events. We choose a 2 course meal with wine, beer and soft drinks, and we took our own cake/sweeties as desserts. We also took all flowers and decorations and the staff set up the venue beautifully on the day. They were very flexible to accommodate our requirements and design the event the way we preferred. Drinks at the cash bar were at reasonable price for central London, and bar staff was incredibly friendly! The team was really helpful and attentive, food was very good, atmosphere felt really relaxed but special, as a wedding should be! If you are looking for a laid back wedding venue, with lots of character, in a great location, with a very reliable team, you should really consider this place!!

Wonderful wedding reception, My son organised his wedding reception at The White Horse. Helped by the weather we had a really wonderful day. The welcome mini fish and chips got us off to a good start. The barbecue was excellent with really succulent Barnsley chops besides the more usual things. The vegetarians were also well provided for. The venue, the staff and the catering made for a great party.
