We're recently refurbished but we've been organising weddings along the river since 1722! Our private room provides a private bar and private balcony to take in the riverside views.

Our Drawing Room is available for a 40 people sit down reception or a 65 people standing reception. Alongside, your own private bar with a dedicated team looking after you on the day. Plus we have an onsite events coordinator who shall be your main contact and work hard to provide your best big day!

We held our wedding reception at the Old Ship in June and had the most fantastic day. Imogen and her team couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. The service was perfect and all our guests commented on how good the food was. The Old Ship has always been my favorite pub along this stretch of the river.
So became the obvious choice for our wedding reception.
The guys didn't disappoint. The decor and table presentation was classy the balcony over looking the river was spectacular and the food (a buffet) received rave reviews from family and friends.

I went there for a friends wedding party and from the start it was amazing, Imogen and Matthew provided incredible food and the right times and a beautiful wedding cake. They made it so comfortable and perfect for a mixed range of people from 90 to 19. Definitely a place to visit or hire!
