About

Hi, I’m John Thompson, a full time wedding photographer from Essex. I specialise in creative wedding photography, capturing natural and relaxed images.

I love my job, being part of a couple’s big day and being able to capture all the special moments – the tears, the laughter, the joy and the celebrations – it’s a real honour.

I am based in Essex but I also travel further afield to photograph weddings. I have been all over the UK and I’ve even been flown abroad several times to photograph some amazing destination weddings. I am a proud member of the exclusive east selective.

What can we say, other than John (Pure Image Photography) you are fantastic!

We could not have chosen a better photographer. John is such a lovely person, as an individual and as a photographer, it was just such a joy to have him around!

He made us feel so confident, so relaxed and totally ourselves. He was so discreet and subtle, while being really great at directing us. All of our guests said how lovely and talented he was, and they hadn't even seen the photos!

Speaking of which, we were absolutely blown away. The photos were utterly incredibly, they are memories, captured utterly beautifully that will last a lifetime.

John kindly sent us a slideshow set to music which really helped us to re-live the day, because he captured the story so beautifully. We were also really surprised to receive through the post a beautiful wooden USB with all of our photos saved onto it, along with some beautiful prints which are in frames all over our house!

It was such a lovely touch, thank you John! You made our day so special, you are a wonderful person, and we can't thank you enough.
