Originally from South Shields, in the North East of England where her journey began on folk harp with Janet Bennett. Rebecca moved to Manchester to study pedal harp with Eira Lynn Jones at Chetham's School of Music & then to the Royal Northern College of Music.
Initially inspired by Harpo Marx in the 1930s black and white movies, she followed her dream to become a professional harpist. Rebecca enjoys adding live music to special occasions such as weddings, receptions, formal events and parties.She is also an accomplished electric harpist so please feel free to make enquiries about her latest pearl-white electroharp.
Most recently she has been travelling the world, performing internationally onboard many cruise ships in her own show!
Rebecca has performed for wide variety of venues. These include a reception for the High Sheriff of Greater Manchester a live broadcast for S4C with her Harp Quartet, CLOUDS. A highlight for Rebecca was performing for the 60th birthday celebrations for HRH the Prince of Wales at Covent Garden & she was even invited to play the harp live on Coronation Street!
She has enjoyed playing for weddings at National Trust Properties, hotels, and is available for booking for weddings, celebrations and corporate events. Rebecca is happy to discuss the type of music which would be most suitable for your occasion as she can offer a huge repertoire.
Rebecca released her first solo harp CD, "The Journey" to celebrate her passion for traveling.
