Harriet is a professional harpist based in Rutland. She has been playing for over 15 years and feels it's a privilege to be chosen to be part of a couple's day.
Harriet has been playing the harp since 2004 when she saw a picture of one at school and thought it looked pretty!
She began her studies with Audrey Douglas and in 2007 moved to study at the Royal College of Music Junior Department under the incredible tutelage of Daphne Boden, and subsequently with Eleanor Turner, who taught her the power of expression in music.
Harriet has been lucky enough to have played in many concert halls around the country, and abroad, including Symphony Hall Birmingham, Leeds Town Hall, The Barbican and at La Mortella, the home of William Walton in Italy and her audiences have included Michael Parkinson, The Vamps, The British Ambassador to Italy, Her Grace The Duchess of Rutland, Lord Lieutenant of Rutland and HRH The Prince of Wales.
Harriet is a deeply musical harpist and has been described as a "creative beast" by Michael Collins, world-renowned clarinettist. She always puts her heart and soul into her performances. For your event she can create atmosphere, ambience and give you memories that will last a lifetime. She loves performing at weddings and feels privileged to be a part of the couple's day, be it for their ceremony and providing the musical backdrop of the most magical part of your life, or to provide entertainment during your drinks reception.
