The magnificent black and white Samlesbury Hall in Preston, Lancashire dates back to the 14th Century and can be yours exclusively for the day and evening.

Samlesbury Hall has hosted weddings for over fifty years and we now invite you to become part of our history. We offer the warmest welcome and are here to help your plans come to life and assist with the smallest details which makes the biggest day possible.

The Hall and the immediate grounds are available to you exclusively on Fridays, Saturdays and other days by special request.

With everything under one roof, holding your ceremony at Samlesbury Hall means there is no need for any travel between venues for you and your guests. The Whittaker Room is licensed for up to 90, with original windows from nearby Whalley Abbey and beautifully carved panelling. Originally a private chapel for the families who lived in Samlesbury, this gorgeous room has been sympathetically converted and sanctioned to hold civil ceremonies. For bigger parties, the 14th century Great Hall is licensed for up to 120, or for a more intimate wedding ceremony, the Parlour is ideal for up to 25 people.

SAMLESBURY HALL was the perfect location for our daughter’s wedding. From the preparation with our wedding manager, to the actual day. The ceremony was wonderful, the staff looking after us were attentive, and the food was incredible. All our guests are still telling us how it was a fabulous setting and such a very happy occasion. We cannot thank you enough in helping us provide such a successful and happy occasion.

We had our wedding at Samlesbury Hall on the 28th October this year. We had the most wonderful day and everything was perfect for us.

We had so many comments from our guests about the beauty of the hall, which is what we hoped since it's how we felt when we first visited. It really added so much to the day having a venue as special and unique as the hall, it really holds a special place in our hearts and we can't wait to come and visit again.

The food on the day was absolutely beautiful, again we had many comments about this. Everyone loved the hog roast at the end of the evening. And breakfast the next day, wow! The best and just what we needed!

All staff were outstanding to help the day run smoothly, it really took away any stress. Special thanks to Angela, Marie and Gordon for looking after us so well, nothing felt too much trouble. The staff are clearly so committed to the hall, but also to making sure that people have a wonderful day.

The lodge is a wonderful space to get ready in, we all had a comfy and relaxing morning in there.
