About
At Goodnestone Park we offer a variety of wedding options from a quiet civil ceremony for 24 in the Round Room followed by a feast in the formal Dining Room to a church or civil ceremony for 150 followed by a wedding breakfast and evening party in a spectacular marquee or in our covered Courtyard.
Goodnestone Park is a magnificent Queen Anne house set in 15 acres of beautiful grounds and surrounded by parkland. The house was completely refurbished a year ago to critical acclaim and sleeps 24 in 12 stunning double bedrooms and has 5 reception rooms for entertaining and fine dining. In addition there are three function areas in The Courtyard which are licenced for civil ceremonies and make fantastic spaces for receptions, wedding breakfasts and evening parties and the local church is just a short walk away through the walled garden. We have our own list of recommended caterers, marquee hire companies, photographers, florists, etc and run our own wine cellar and bars. We don't offer standard packages but instead aim to create a special event for each couple based on their preferences and budgets. Goodnestone is said to be the inspiration for Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice; come and visit us and see why.
