The Embankment has become one of the premier spots in the heart of Bedford. The clue to our location is in the name. Bedford’s beautifully landscaped Embankment has great views out over the River Great Ouse, the boathouses and all the hustle and bustle of life on the river, and we are s right on it
Built in 1821, The Embankment hotel reflects its late-Victorian heyday, but with all the modern facilities and comforts of a great pub. A relaxed atmosphere, no stuffy hotel lobby or residents’ lounge, just a team of friendly faces to welcome and look after you. There is also a fully wheelchair accessible twin room on the ground floor in the adjoining Victorian cottage. All of the rooms are adorned with individual touches such as, antique guilt framed mirrors and high quality linen.
