Built in the 1930s and restored to its original splendour in 1998, this fairy-tale building occupies a tranquil corner of Harrogate’s historic Grade II listed Valley Gardens. With private terraces hidden away amongst ancient trees and lush greenery, The Sun Pavilion is perfect for weddings.

Simply breathtaking, this unique and historic venue reflective of the Art Deco period, is idyllically located in the midst of the tranquil Valley Gardens in the heart of elegant Harrogate.

With a full civil wedding licence, ceremonies of all faiths, civil partnership celebrations and receptions take on a magical feel underneath the dazzling stained glass domed roof.

Perfect for gatherings of up to 150, the main hall opens directly into the garden area via a wisteria adorned colonnade and covered walkway, a charming spot for outdoor receptions or welcome drinks.

We just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped put on such a fantastic day for us we could not have asked for more, the day was perfect! Sally thank you for such a friendly, calming voice when I was getting stressed and for being so helpful. A special thank you to Stuart for staying late the night before so we could set up – that meant so much to me. Danny thank you for making sure everything was taken down and looking after us in the evening. I’d also like to mention the amazing staff on the night, all so friendly and would fully recommend the Sun Pavilion as a wedding venue! The food was amazing too
