When planning a wedding, registering for a Gift List is always that item on the to-do list that couples dither over, undecided on who to list with to ensure it covers an array of things they'll both love. The way it works is really simple. When you register, John Lewis will send you a welcome pack with inserts for you to include in the invites to your guests. Then you can either take a trip to your local John Lewis store where you'll be armed with a zapper to scan all your favourite items or, for a more sofa-friendly option (cups of tea + cake obligitory), you can easily compile and edit your list online.  It can take a little while for couples to build up a list of firm favourites, so they recommend getting the list sorted at least eight weeks before the big day.  Your guests can then shop your gift list either in-store, online or over the phone up to six weeks before the wedding and two weeks after the wedding. The lovely team at John Lewis will then collate all your wonderful gifts and send them to your doorstep at a time that's convenient for you.

It's so simple, all you need to do is sign up for the John Lewis Gift List and let us know your Gift List code in your Planning Tools, read on to know all the necessary details and apply. 

1. Sign up to the John Lewis Gift List 

It's free and easy to register, just click here to go to their website and enter the necessary details. The competition runs until and including the 28th February 2017. 

 

2. Enter your Gift List code into your Wedding Planner Tools

Once John Lewis have pinged you your Gift List code, you need to log into your weddingplanner.co.uk account (if you don't have one you can sign up here!). Go to 'My Planning Tools' and click the 'Account' tab. You will find a section as pictured below to pop in your Gift List code. 

3. Voila, you've entered! We have our fingers firmly crossed!
